Edits Have Arrived

This was my very first attempt at making an omelet. Didn’t work so much, but it tasted awesome. One of the students at my school raises chickens so they were organic, free-range eggs with some cheese and sea salt added. The most elaborate breakfast I’ve had in a while. So on Thursday, I got the first round of edits for Phase. ::dances around:: It’s so exciting because it’s really happening. Good news is that nothing major like plot change or scene reconstruction is needed. Bad news is that it’s a ton of small things to fix: repetitive word choice, point of view issues, chapter breaks, etc. So I printed the whole sucker off because even with ‘track changes,’ I edit better on real paper with a real pen.

Doesn’t it look huge? It’s really not a manifesto in size or anything. Word document form vs actual book length is not al all similar. And with it being an ebook, length really isn’t much of an issue at all. So, I have massive amounts of grading to do over the next few days, but I might work on the book some today.

My first day of Spring break and I slept in, had eggs and get to work on my book. I am so lucky.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!!
